Offimo - Mindful pause app for screen time control

Using Offimo and Apple Screen Time limits at the same time

They work fine together. What each one does, what to expect when both are set on the same app, and when you do not need us.

Screen Time is free, already on your iPhone, and good at what it does. Offimo does not replace it; they work at different moments.

What each one does

  • Screen Time sets how much of your day an app is allowed. When the limit is reached, it shows a warning with an "Ignore Limit" button.
  • Offimo creates a pause every time you try to open a protected app, before the scroll begins.

Both on the same app

Expect both to act. Offimo's pause appears each time you tap; Screen Time's limit screen appears once the daily allowance is used up. Neither one switches the other off.

If seeing two screens gets annoying, keep the Offimo pause and remove the Screen Time limit for that app, or the reverse. Screen Time's usage reports keep working either way.

When you do not need Offimo

If you have set app limits and they are still holding, keep them. Free and working beats paid and better. Offimo is for the specific case where the limit appears and your thumb has already dismissed it.

Parental controls

Offimo is built for your own phone, not a child's. For a child's phone, Family Sharing and Screen Time are the right tools.
