Offimo - Mindful pause app for screen time control

New phone or iOS update: granting the permission again

After a new iPhone, a restore or a major iOS update, Offimo may need the Screen Time permission again. What to check and what carries over.

Offimo depends on Apple's Screen Time permission. iOS treats that permission carefully, and there are moments when it asks for it again.

When it happens

  • You set up a new iPhone, even from a backup.
  • You restored your phone.
  • A major iOS update changed how Screen Time works.

In each case the pause may stop appearing until the permission is granted again. Nothing is broken; the permission simply has to be confirmed.

What to do

  1. Open Offimo. If the permission is missing, Offimo tells you and offers to request it.
  2. Allow Screen Time access when iOS asks.
  3. Check your protected list and tap one of the apps to confirm the pause is back.

What carries over

Your subscription is tied to your Apple account, so sign in with the same account and it is there. Check your app list after a restore: depending on how the backup was made, it may need a look.

Still not working?

Go through the pause did not show up. If it still fails, write to support@offimo.app with your iOS version.
