Focus is rarely lost in the middle of a task. It's lost at the start, or on the way back from a break, with the phone one tap away. Another organizing technique doesn't fix that, because the problem is the app opening on autopilot.
In Offimo, you pick the apps that pull you off the task most and, if you like, the hours protection applies. When you try to open one, access is held for a few seconds. You decide once, calmly, instead of deciding again at every opening.
Where it helps
The start of the task
Sitting down to work is when the feed shows up most. The pause sits at its door.
The return from a break
Five minutes off turn into half an hour when the app opens on autopilot. The pause gives you a few seconds to choose.
Work hours
Protection can apply only during your workday or your study block.
When the deadline closes in
Commitment Mode keeps the block for the period you set, for the days you don't want to negotiate.

Frequently asked questions
Which pause length works best?
No one has measured an ideal number. The pause lasts a few seconds and varies by mode. What the studies we cite show is the effect of having a pause, not of an exact time.
Can I use it with iPhone Focus?
They're different things: iPhone Focus filters notifications, and Offimo puts the pause before an app opens. You can use both.
Will I miss important messages?
You choose what you protect. Leave out the app you need for work and protect only what distracts.
