Offimo - Mindful pause app for screen time control

You pick up your phone and can't remember why

For when knowing what to do wasn't enough.

Offimo targets the gesture of opening, not the guilt: access to a protected app is held for a few seconds, and the choice stays yours. It does not diagnose or treat anything.

People who land here have usually read everything, tried dark mode, deleted apps and promised. And they still unlock the screen without remembering the reason. Information isn't what's missing.

Offimo looks at the gesture of opening. When you try to open a protected app, access is held for a few seconds, and the choice to go in or go back to what you were doing stays yours. It doesn't diagnose or treat anything: it's a pause you choose to put in the way.

How it fits in

It targets the opening, not the guilt

The pause sits at the moment you open the app, not in a lecture afterwards.

Counting openings

In Settings → Screen Time, your iPhone shows how many times you picked it up. It's a number you can compare from one week to the next.

No guilt built in

The screen offers Close app or Ask for access. The choice is yours either way.

Firmness when you want it

For hard days, Commitment Mode makes the block firmer for the period you choose.

Getting started

  1. 1

    Download Offimo

Install from the App Store and finish the initial setup.

  2. 2

    Pick your apps

Choose which apps and sites deserve a pause before they open. Change it whenever you like.

  3. 3

    Let the pause work

Next time you tap the icon, the pause appears, and the decision is yours again.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a diagnosis?

No. Offimo doesn't diagnose or treat anything. If your phone is seriously getting in the way of your life, a health professional can assess it.

How many times a day is too many?

There's no right number for everyone. Your iPhone shows how many times you picked it up, and what matters is comparing with the week before.

Does it work if I'm not motivated?

The pause doesn't depend on how motivated you feel in the moment: you set it up beforehand. It gives a few seconds, and the choice stays yours.
