Offimo - Mindful pause app for screen time control

Privacy: what data stays on your phone

Offimo does not read what you do inside apps, does not sell data and does not report your usage to anyone. What that means in practice.

Offimo is built to need as little of your data as possible. This article is the short version; the privacy policy is the long one.

What Offimo does not do

  • It does not read what you do inside the apps you pause: no messages, no feed, no watch history.
  • It does not sell your data.
  • It does not show ads.
  • It does not send a usage report to anyone, and there is no dashboard for someone else to watch you.

How the pause works without watching you

Offimo uses Apple's Screen Time framework, the same system behind the iPhone's built-in limits. Apple designed it so an app can act on your chosen apps without reading their content. That is what lets Offimo hold an app for a few seconds without knowing what is inside it.

Your app list and progress

The apps you chose to pause, your streak and Jeff's stage belong to you. They are there to show you your own pattern, not to be shared.

What the app does send

To keep improving Offimo, the app sends usage events such as "a session was finished" or "onboarding step 5 was reached". They are tied to a random account ID, never to your name or e-mail, and never include app names, websites or exact usage times. You can switch them off in Settings → "Share usage data".

The website

The Offimo website uses Google Analytics and PostHog cookies to see which pages people read. If you leave your e-mail to get the download link, it is stored so we can send it. You can block cookies in your browser and the site still works.

Billing

Payment goes through the App Store. Offimo never sees your card details.
